Total value of shares outstanding Q = volume trading * share of company Q
Total value of shares outstanding P = volume trading * share of company P
Share of company P= 120% share of company Q
Statement 1: The trading volume of shares of company Q is 25 percent more than that of company P.
- -> TVQ = 125% TVP
ratio =[total value shares Q = TVQ* share Q]/[total value shares P = TVP*share P]
—->> [TVQ*share Q]/ (120%share Q)*(100/125)TVQ))
——>> (1)/[120/125) = 125/120 = 25/24
Statement 2.
The value of shares outstanding of company Q is $6,000,000 and the value of shares outstanding of company P is $8,000,000.
