St.1 -> profit from 2,000 unit is greater than 4,000,000 but we don’t know about the remaining 500 unit profit. Hence, insufficient.
St.2 -> given, profit of each last 500 boats sold were less than $2,500 but we don’t know the remaining 2,000 unit to come with the net profit. Hence, Insufficient.

Combining both, we know minimum profit would be 4,000,001 + 500*1 = 4,000,501. But we don’t know whether the minimum value is the actual value. Hence, insufficient. E

Hi Bunuel

When the statement 1 says that the profit earned from the first 2000 boats is greater than $4000000 can we not infer that the cost per boat is greater than $2000?
