5 pages in 2 sec. So 2.5 pages in 1 sec. 150 pages in 60 sec or 1 min. therefore, 1050 pages in 7 mins.

Option E should be correct

Hello,

Here is my

7min -> 7x60s = 420s

Rate is 5 pages/2 seconds so 420/2 = 210 We have 210 periods of 2 second available.

Remember 2s->5 pages.
210 (number of 2s periods in 7 min) x 5 (number of pages in 2s) =1050

A web press prints 5 pages every 2 seconds. At this rate, how many pages will the press print in 7 minutes?

(A) 350
(B) 540
(C) 700
(D) 950
(E) 1050

The rate of the press is 5/2 pages per second.

Thus, in 7 minutes the press will print:

rate x time = work

5/2 x 7 minutes = 5/2 x 420 seconds = 1,050 pages
