I got an email last Friday very similar(probably the same) to many on the waitlist saying that they were reaching out to a select few and were hoping to release a few spots in the coming weeks and that they are hoping to wrap up the entire admissions decision by June 1.
I then sent a letter of continued interest (Monday) in and received a personal thank you email letting me know that I would be contacted in the coming week about next steps.
Tuesday 5/8, I got another email asking me to call admissions to discuss my application and they informed me that I was accepted.
