Hi,
The Q is all about PARALLELISM..

lets first eliminate choces using UNLIKE wrongly..
In D and E, Less popular locations are being wrongly compared to farmhouse, so eliminate D and E..

now lets see the other three choices..
(A) whereas a decently renovated farmhouse in less popular locations might go for 250,000 to 300,000 euros, the Beaune-Dijon area commands a cost of 500,000 to 600,000 euros

i)as can be seen here too we are comparing a decently renovated house with area.. incorrect
ii)secondly commands a cost-- it should be commands ....euros or costs ...euros
Correct way would be:-
whereas a decently renovated farmhouse in less popular locations might go for 250,000 to 300,000 euros,a decently renovated farmhouse in the Beaune-Dijon area costs 500,000 to 600,000 euros

(B) whereas in less popular locations a decently renovated farmhouse might go for 250,000 to 300,000 euros, in the Beaune-Dijon area, a similar farmhouse costs 500,000 to 600,000 euros

CORRECT-- proper PARALLELISM

(C) whereas a decently renovated farmhouse in less popular locations might go for 250,000 to 300,000 euros, 500,000 to 600,000 euros is its cost in the Beaune-Dijon area

Again wrong parallelism

D and E are out. They both compare ‘farmhouse’ to ‘less popular locations’

A is also wrong as it compares the farmhouse to an area. C compares the farmhouse to ‘500,000 to 600,000’ euros. So it’s wrong too.
