Bunuel MartyMurray GMATNinja , I think the answer for the second question will be "true" and not "False".Request you to review and confirm.
­The median Zinc grade % is 3.97 

Exactly half of the countries with a lead grade percentage of 2% or greater. These are a total of 6 half of which is 3 and among the 6 countries, 3 have zinc grade percentages above the median zinc grade level. Hence the answer is true. Countries having a Zinc lead of 2% or greater and Zinc grade % more than the medium value are Australia, Mexico, and Canada.

Any shortcut for calculating the 1st ques.
­The shortcut is that "there is no shortcut is needed". We only need to get 1.5 of 2.38 . Just use calculator for that. (Remeber: We can use calculator in DI)
