I was fortunately admitted to Sloan, and two other programs, and I have been completely turned off by my experience with the admissions staff at MIT. Is the quality of admissions staff (responsiveness & care) indicative of how students are treated if they join Sloan? Or is the culture of the admissions staff at Sloan substantially different than the administrative staff and faculty? Sloan was my dream - and I think I might be crazy - but starting to feel like I should add "care of students" as a factor in my decision-making. What were other peoples' experience? Did I have an unique experience or is this how others felt?
You probably say this because they're not replying to your emails. I wrote them a few days ago and I didn't get a reply either. They are probably swamped at the moment.
I did get replies on several occasions. They are usually very good at replying and have told me that they do not usually provide detailed feedback to waitlisted or non-admitted prospective students.
If you’re not getting a reply they are definitely swamped because I’ve never had that issue and I’ve been in contact with them for almost a year. They’re almost always really well in responding.
