Hi,
I am from India and have 20 months of experience as a software developer in Machine learning. I have been admitted to the MIM program at ESSEC, France and planning to pursue a career in consulting/technical management. I have a few questions:
1. What is the level of French required to secure an internship in France especially in Consulting? Is it realistic for someone to reach that fluency in 1-2 years starting now?
2. What is the impact of the COVID-19/Coronavirus on the internships/job opportunities in the next 1-2 years on a non-EU student like me?
3. Considering that I am trying to finance about 80% of the fee+living expenses, which amounts to 53k euros of debt for my studies via educational loan, is it too risky considering that there might be an economic slowdown in the coming days?
4. Is deferring the admission by a year by paying a deposit of 6k euros a better option?
Any inputs regarding this would help. I would also like to know about ESSEC program in general from current students/alumni/ fellow applicants.
Thanks.

Congrats on your admit to ESSEC. It is one of the good schools for MiM.
At least A2 level of proficiency required to secure internship or part-time job. All the best.
