Scholarship weekend is the weekend where Johnson selects the cohort for the Park Fellowship through team building exercises and a case study. Those who aren't selected for the Park typically come away with some sort of scholarship - though if you're a complete **** show, it's possible to leave with nothing...so behave That said, it's also a sell weekend. Johnson is limited by funding to 25 Park Fellowships, but anyone else they award a scholarship to they obviously want there, so it's meant to be a positive experience regardless of the outcome of the weekend. As a result, Johnson will reimburse up to $200 of travel expenses.

1. Did any one get scholarship information with the Admissions packet? I read somewhere that one gets a separate mail from Financial Aid Office. Just checking.

Question for some of the current students on here or if any adcom are reading this, but if we put the deposit down in January is there still a possibility that we could get some scholarship money?

I'm guessing that we still could, but it'd be similar to earning scholarship at a school with binding decisions. There's less incentive for them to want to grant you scholarship if you've already put money down and committed to the school.

I suppose we don't really have a choice though, if we don't put down the deposit we forfeit our seat in the Class of 2017 correct?

I wouldn't overthink this, nor would I hold my breath to get a scholarship later. That said, Johnson does things differently with scholarships in that there's a scholarship weekend. If there's an unusually low yield after one of those weekends (scholarship weekend participants get their deposit deadline extended until after the weekend), then I would imagine that Johnson would look to award those scholarships to people on the waitlist instead of using it on later rounds to entice people.

Just my opinion.

Actually, I'm gonna keep myself on the Kellogg waitlist for as long as I can. Not to be a downer on Johnson or anything (I really do like the school), even the Johnson alum that I talked to suggested that if I get into Kellogg I should just go there.

From everything that I've researched and the several people that I've asked, it's understandable and acceptable to do so. I will be declining Tepper unfortunately and although I really did like the school as well, between Tepper and Johnson, I see Johnson as a better fit for me professionally.

Come celebrate a Johnson tradition and Cornell's 150th anniversary with fellow Cornellians, business community members, family, and friends at Predictions 2015.

First launched by the Johnson Club of the Bay Area 19 years ago, the Predictions Dinners have become a tradition among Johnson alumni clubs. Predictions Dinners begin with a cocktail reception, which offers a great opportunity for alumni to network with students, faculty, and staff. The reception is followed by a formal, sit-down dinner and address by a keynote speaker. At these dinners, club members also distribute predictions questions for the new year and announce the winner of the award for the most accurate predictions from the previous year. It is a fun evening that is open to the entire Cornell community.
