Steel,
can you provide us a suumary of your recruiting experience so far in tech strategy (firms/positions, process, Kellogg strength)=
Thanks.
Can't talk a whole lot to process so far since resume drops are just starting. The only firm to come back so far with invites is Apple, which I was fortunate enough to get an interview with so far.
Kellogg is very strong in the tech field, even this year most every tech firm is coming to campus for strategy, business development, or product management positions (with the exception of Google, which is on an MBA hiring freeze). Examples of some firms coming onto campus for positions: Microsoft, Cisco, Adobe, Dell, Symantec, Facebook, Expedia, NVIDIA, Apple, Intel, Amazon, HP, etc.
Interestingly enough, Kellogg is one of the best represented MBAs at many tech firms, especially Microsoft and Dell. Each of the firms above have had or are going to have interviews on campus, and most have already come to campus for corporate events. Many of the tech firms above took a handful of people for their internship programs. I think both Apple and Microsoft had around 5-10 Kellogg interns last year a piece (which, given that the size of most of their MBA internship programs is in the 30-50 range nationally, is pretty good).
Definitely send me questions as the process continues - should have some more info on interviewing in a couple weeks!
