I am hapy to share the good news: I just got the call, I have been awarded one of the two Donald Jacobs scholarship at Kellogg.

Thanks NJMike and isa! chifootball, I did not really have to apply, the Admission Dean told me it was based on the strength of my profile and application, about which she spent words nicer than the scholarship itself.

15k goes a long way...and a name is better than just getting 15k since you can put it on your resume and it looks impressive.

Based on experiences for Italian Kellogg students/alumni, I believe you have to get a named one to get 15k if you are from overseas!

Anyway yours is a very good point river!

Nice idea! Just curious, how "exactly" do you do that? I don't want to screw it up where people can still see that I've joined or am a part of that group!

That hides it from your "friends"; however, adcom from other schools could still see you are in there, right? I have 3 outstanding apps, so I think I'll hold off for now.

Below is what steel told me. The only thing that I would add is that the closing ceremonies are supposed to be business casual per the DAK website.

I wore jeans with an untucked button down shirt all weekend (that's what I wear all the time anyway). People wore all sorts of combos of casual though, so I'd recommend wearing whatever you normally would, say out to lunch on a weekend with friends.

As much as I was trying to make it for DAK, unfortunately, it seems like I won't be able to.

I was really looking forward to meeting most of you guys, but it seems like it will have to wait till the Fall. You're my eyes and ears now, so let me know what happens.
