Well, sent in my deposit for Engelhart. Brand-new furniture, new kitchens, all utilities including cable/internet and you don't have to pay for the summer. Hopefully it won't suck otherwise, but after budgeting for McManus, other 2-br were too rich for me, esp. since I'd already turned down Grad Plus loans. Rather save my money for a proper place after I graduate...

Yay! congrats on finding a place :)
I'm sure it'll be fine. Also, worst case, if it turns out you don't like it - you can move next year...

Phew! I took the 1Y thing to mean "first years".

I know Duke starts early (people doing the health care certificate start the last week of July), but I was thinking Kellogg starts now???

Started yesterday actually (well, I guess 2 days at this hour). Continued today, wrapped up with the season's first TG including beer pong in Jacobs.

I'm getting to Evanston on August 4th, though I'll be tied up until the 9th. After that, I'm going to hang out / go out as much as possible. Really want to take advantage of having a few weeks off!

Last day of work is July 31. Wish time could move a bit more quickly! Couldn't be more excited about getting started @ Kellogg.

I'm also working till 7/31, then planning to arrive Aug. 12th-14th. I'm going home to visit the 'rents before traveling up. Can't wait to meet up with everyone.

Flying in with the wife on 8/11. Renting a moving van on 8/12 to pickup furniture, buy a mattress set, etc. Hoping to get the major items in by the 12th.

thanks for the advice on the insurance...

gonna be there around the 15th! Hopefully I'm not cutting it too fine...especially cos I need to buy furniture...

any idea when the book list might be up for the courses? I would like to see if I can buy books in HK instead...seems to be cheaper here...

And by free every night you mean that you'll be hitting up Nevins/PMs/Prairie Moon and then heading to the Keg around midnight to 1am every night :)
