Hi

I have been prepping for my 3rd attempt for gmat since past 1 year. Now I am in the final leg of preparation wherein I am giving weekly mocks. Till now i have given 4 mocks, 1 of gmatprep and 3 of experts global in which I got scores of 690, 660, 690, 690 respectively. I had thought of appearing in November but could attempt enough mocks. Now I want to attempt some more mocks and then give the exam. I thing I would point out is that it's been a long time so I want to get done with this. My aim is 700+ preferably >720. Next month my sister is about to visit me (2nd week of dec) and she will stay till end of Jan so it might be a distraction as well. I want to get done with gmat as soon as possible. Please advise how to approach booking the date for the exam.

Hi kreel11 ..
I am not sure till what date you can postpone your exam and what is the deadline of the school you are targeting. As a general advise, book only when you are sure to reach your desired score. Your target is 720, so you need to get consistent 720 (+-10) scores to be sure that you will give the similar performance in actual test. Remember, the mocks are different from real exam. Replicate the future exam environment in home/office/library. You should decide the time of exam, snacks you are going to take, break timings, section priority, etc. Do the mocks in similar fashion as you are going to be in real exam.
Also, if you are near to the deadline, it would be best that you talk with your sister about the situation and how important is for you. I am sure she will understand and will not become a distraction for you. I hope it helps. All the best for your preparation and upcoming exam.
