Hello, everyone
I am planning to apply to IIM A, B and C this year. I started writing my essays, put in everything that I felt was relevant and when I finished, my essay was three times over the word limit. Since then, I have shortened it down to 800 words but the max word count is 600.
My question is how do I compress my essay if that means omitting instance of leadership? and if it also means having to cut short on why I'm a good fit for the program and how I plan to leverage that program.
Another important question I have, if the school had already asked for some info in the application form, is it safe to omit those from my essay? For eg, my extracurriculars and my job responsibilities.
As I said, I could use those to highlight some leadership skills but have to omit them to keep my SOP within the limit.
Any tips/advice would be very helpful to me.
