Howdy,
I'm a 27 year old UK based Army Officer seeking a profile review!
Numbers:
Gmat 740 q47v44
MEng Mechanical Engineering 2ii 59% (3.2gpa?)
Work:
My work has mainly focussed on development of Foreign military forces, or government organisations with a focus on east Africa.
Promoted ahead of peers and on faster timelines etc
Schools (r1):
MIT
HAAS
SAID
LBS
Plan:
Target my weak GPA in the optional essays.
Demonstrate a desire to change to Consultancy with a strategy or leadership focus while still Being exposed to entrepreneurship.
My key skills are innovation and work ethic.
Key weaknesses GPA, exposure to business
Future plans:
1)compete for a position at top tier Consultancy firm specialising in strategy and leadership
2)Join a startup that has completed its first funding round in a strategy role.
I'm trying to put these applications together while deployed, so any advice is hugely welcome!!

Very interesting background. Make sure to leverage the uniqueness of that. I would work with somebody on candidate positioning and developing a specific narrative. Even if you don't work with them on any other aspect of your applications.
Stop freaking out about your GPA. You have a diverse profile and a very solid GMAT score which is way more important. I do think you should address it in the optional essays but this whole process is really more about leveraging your strengths and showing what sets you apart then trying to reach a minimum standard for a bunch of different boxes to check. That's not going to win the game. If you do have a pretty good excuse mention it in the optionals but if you don't just leave it alone you don't really need to draw a lot of attention to that you want to keep their focus on why they want you in the class.
And my final but extremely key point - you need to pick a lane with regards to MBB versus entrepreneurship. It never works to chase two bunnies. You have kind of a schizophrenic school list at this point. If your post MBA goal is to get into a consultancy I think I would probably pick schools that are going to best position you for that.
