Question: Who drove the greatest distance?
Statement 1: Alex drove 1/2 hours longer than Barbara but at an average of 8 miles per hour slower than Barbara.
No information about C hence
NOT SUFFICIENT
Statement 2: Cynthia drove 4 hours and averaged 40 miles per hour.
i.e. Distance of C = 40*4 = 160 miles
No information about A and B hence
NOT SUFFICIENT
Combining the statements
Distance of A = S*(T+0.5) [if S is teh speed of A and T is the time for which B drove]
Distance of B = (S+8)*(T)
Still not enough information to compare teh distance of A and DIstance of B hence
