Know Your Presenter  
Kara Northcutt is senior director of employer engagement and admissions for Chicago Booth’s MBA Programs and has been with Booth since 2008. Prior to Booth, Kara worked in graduate admissions for North Central College. Kara graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University with a double major in psychology and criminal justice. She earned her Master of Arts in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

I have sent a mail to Chicago Booth for application fee waiver, as I am one of the winner of GMATCLUB MBA SPOTLIGHT Chicago Booth Winner. They denied to agree for the same. Even, they further told that don't promote such events in which Booth is offering application fee waivers.

Mail received from Booth is as follows:-

Hello Yash,

Thank you for your email. We do not waive our GMAT or GRE requirement under any circumstance including extensive work experience. Additionally, we do not participate in GMAT or GRE fee waiver programs. The GMAT score is valid if the test was taken less than five years before the date of the application, deadline. The test date makes no difference in the assessment of an application as long as it was within five years of your application date. To request an application fee waiver please complete the request form at https://apply.chicagobooth.edu/register/ftfeewaiver.

Booth will grant waivers for the following reasons:

Enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program (non-University of Chicago student)
Summer Business Scholar Graduate
Teach for America participants, instructors, or alumni who completed service within the last five years
AmeriCorps and Peace Corps participants and alumni who completed service within the last five years
Peace Corps Volunteer or Alum
Forté MBALaunch Member
Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) Fellow

Active Duty and Military Veterans

PS. I will check again but my guess with lots of things going on, they may. It have gotten to it or they may have to do something to the application and if the app is not open yet; they may not be able to even do it before then. Either way, best to wait for specific instructions.

PS. they did not quite say when they would be sending them so I will check for the timeline.

By the way, I got your private message, this post, and an email from you. All about the fee waiver for the application that is not due for another two months. ?

I highly recommend that you consider your communication strategy with Business schools. You do not want to appear as needy, desperate, and a pest. There is something to say about perseverance but this is probably not the place to show it off ?
