Although most people would agree that one should remember...anything that comes now must match with the impersonal pronoun one
Therefore, we can eliminate Option B,C and E for using 'their' and 'his'.

Between Option A and Option B, Option A is more subtle and precise.

One is singular so their is incorrect , so B &C can be easily eliminated.
Choice D is redundant.
His refers to personal pronoun.
The sentence speaks of general fact. So A is the appropriate choice
