Although and nevertheless in a same sentence are redundant. So, we can eliminate Option A and Option D.
The main verb 'is' must match with the singular subject 'this condition' in the sentence. So, we can eliminate Option C.
Such that and so that both are used to explain cause and effect but they have differences in their usage.
We use such that when we want to express extreme feelings or an opinion about something.
It was such a bad movie that no one watched it.
We use so that when the emphasis is on a quality
She is so beautiful that he can't get his eyes off her.
Between B and E, Option E wins.

A. Although is a contrast marker, so we don't need another contrast marker "nevertheless". Eliminate A.
B. large - is used to modify the verb "grown".Large is an adjective so it can only be used to modify a noun but here it is incorrectly used to modify a verb. How did the population grow? To a large degree. Incorrect. So much. Correct.
C - these conditions - There is only 1 condition discussed therefore incorrect pronoun use.
D. Although is a contrast marker, so we don't need another contrast marker "nevertheless". Eliminate D.
E - a) this - Pronoun correctly used, b) much - is an adverb so it is used correctly to modify the verb "grown". How did the population grow? To a large degree. Incorrect. So much. Correct.
Therefore, option E is the correct answer.
