Although they have more fat than other snacks, most of the fat in nuts is monounsaturated, the type that likely lowers cholesterol levels.


The subjects of the sentence based on the bolded is NUTS, so we can eliminate A, C and E
D has a bad meaning. "nuts have the most monounsaturated fat"...compared to what? "Nuts have the most manounsaturated fats compared to all other snack foods"? Unclear what they are comparing.

C. nuts have mostly monounsaturated fat,

D. nuts have the most monounsaturated fat,
