I have been accepted to USC MBA.PM, UC Irvine FEMBA, and am waiting to hear back from UCLA FEMBA.
I received a great fellowship at UCI, so it would be the cheapest by far. But I would like others opinions about UCLA vs. USC vs. UCI. I'm interested in Entrepreneurship, Quality, Network, and Cost. Your thoughts?
Well, the fact that the admitted folks did receive an acceptance letter today should pretty much indicate the nail in the coffin for the hopes of getting admitted for the rest of the waiting folks. At best, we are WLed, at worst dinged. Unless of course, one wants to keep popping the blue pill and hoping to get a call from a '310' number until the website status is updated ...
yeah that's what i figured...i wonder why they told all the accepted ppl a week early and are leaving those who weren't accepted to wait a full week. at this point they might as well have everyone's decisions available, shouldn't they? because of that, part of me wants to pop that blue pill haha because i feel like it only makes sense for them to do that if they had another pool of applicants that they hadn't come to a final decision with.
Unfortunately, that's how the process has usually played out over the years. Keep your head up and hopefully there are more admits to come or worst case scenario, a wait list.
So no one has got in closer to the deadline date? You think they are going to just contact everyone else via email on the deadline date to let them know?
waitlisted ... anyone knows what's the chance of converting this into an admit in a later round? One thing I can do is try retaking the GMAT, but wondering if a 720 or 730 instead of my current 700 would make any difference to adcom ... any thoughts?
Dinged. Kind of unexpected - figured I would at least be waitlisted considering the acceptance rates and averages. Looks like my GPA significantly weakened my GMAT score. That, or maybe my biotech lab work experience isn't what theyre looking for. Best of luck to everyone else. Now, eyes on USC!
