I never noticed the "Entrance Exam By" deadline. Does anyone know if I can still apply by R2 if my GMAT test is scheduled after that deadline?

Although it's a deadline, I think admissions is willing to work with you. However, that's probably a question to ask Christy or Matt to get a definite answer.

I was hoping for a direct line. Their office is closed until January 2nd.

I may just end up applying in time for R3. It will give me more time to work on my app and maybe a retake if I don't like my score.

Good luck to all of you interviewing on Saturday! Also, be sure to stop by the networking/waiting area, where we will be having student panels, networking with current students, and tours of Anderson!

Very disappointed by my GMAT (660) compared to my practice test scores (720 and above). I am retaking it on Feb 24 and will ask them to consider!

Any advise for the interview? I just submitted my app yesterday, and I'm already feeling pretty nervous. :\

Are the questions pretty standard/similar other schools?

I didn't do any in person interviews with other schools, but the FEMBA interviews are all with current students and alums. You're probably talk about your resume and work experience, etc etc.

I think this recent post from the UCLA FEMBA blog sums up the experience well.

the questions will be straight forward and mostly about yourself - education/work exp etc.
important:- Be clear on what you want to achieve with FEMBA.. be clear why ucla? why femba? check their website and other material available on what they are offering as compared to other schools.. talk to your friends/colleagues who are currently studying at ucla femba..that will help..
some of your best/worst/tricky experiences in your work life/personal life.
be clear on what you wrote in your essays.

Interviewed yesterday with an alum and went really well. He really liked my background and advised that retaking GMAT wasn't necessary and that I have a good shot!

The questions were very standard: walk me through your resume, why MBA, why UCLA, why NOW, strengths and weaknesses. Good luck guys!

And the waiting game is in full swing now...

Didn't quite pay attention to it earlier but the wait time between interview and notification deadline is significantly larger in R2 then R1 and R3. I didn't count R4 because one would interview before the app is due/submitted. I'm assuming this speaks to a high volume of applications in R2 historically. Looking at last year's thread (dates aren't specified anywhere) it appears there was a time frame between R2's interview/notification a little longer then R1 this year. All that said to get to "when do you think we would hear?"

I'd say conservatively if accepted a phone call within a week prior of 3/21, and if I wanted to make a fun bet at the tables I'd say early March on the opposite end. Any thoughts?

Spoke with a current student at super saturday. Apparently less people applied in R2 this year compared to last year.
