I applied on Jan 14th with only several hours before the deadline, haven't heard back for an interview yet.

I got interviews to all 6 of my other schools (Booth, Anderson, Kellogg, Tepper, Ross, and Fuqua), but not McCombs. Do you guys think they still have R2 invites to send out?

So my McCombs interviewer last night told me that he likes to see if the kids show up in a suit to Starbucks. I'd go business casual with an emphasis on business.

I had my interview at a Starbucks...I wore black pants and a sweater. My interviewer wore jeans and a top, really casual. I'd rather be overdressed rather than under dressed, so I'd go biz casual.

Given that they are on spring break right now, they will either be working through applications pretty quickly and lots of people will hear something, or they will be on a hiatus and no applications will be reviewed. I don't think any decisions/interview invites will be trickling in. Either lots or none. Is it mostly the students or the administration that makes the final decision?

Greetings -- I have gotten some hard dings from NE schools that I had applied to. I have decided to expand my scope and I am considering applying R3 to McCombs. I have mid-low GRE scores but a strong professional record....any thoughts?

Texas is not a good safety school. It is far too selective and erratic. Maybe if you would contribute to the diversity index.

I follow several of the boards that you've posted this on, because they happen to be the schools that I'm applying to. I think the advice you will get will be the same on each board.

Your professional record is very unique and shows great leadership (sorry for restating what others have said). Is there any possibility of delaying your applications to next year to give yourself time to study and dominate the GMAT? I think if you rush your other applications this year and use the same GRE that you have, you're short-changing yourself and missing an opportunity to go to one of the very best schools in the country/world. The GMAT is one of the variables in the application package that can be improved relatively quickly with some work.

NYU, UNC, McCombs, Notre Dame - not safety schools by any means.
