Long time lurker, just got my admit call today! Super excited!

For those of you that want to know my stats -
M 27/670/3.6 GPA- Engineering/6 yrs WE in Energy/solid EC

Applied 12/15
Request for Interview 12/20
Interviewed 1/19
Admitted 3/8

Exactly 12 weeks from when I applied. For everyone that asks, the UT Adcom is pretty explicit in saying that it takes 10-12 weeks to make a decision. So hold tight people and best of luck!

Congrats man, that's great news! Did you happen to monitor your GIAC and McCombs status much during those (long) 12 weeks? I applied 12/22 and interviewed 1/13 but still haven't heard a peep. My GIAC status still says "We've received all the items needed to review your application for admission." and my McCombs status says "Your application has been submitted." The only kicker is that I didn't realize that I needed to send them my official transcript until early Feb., so they didn't receive that until 2/10, which I'm guessing could delay things...

This is great news! That means the adcom is working over spring break and we might get some status updates sooner rather than later.

Did they call or email you?

Congrats man, that's great news! Did you happen to monitor your GIAC and McCombs status much during those (long) 12 weeks? I applied 12/22 and interviewed 1/13 but still haven't heard a peep. My GIAC status still says "We've received all the items needed to review your application for admission." and my McCombs status says "Your application has been submitted." The only kicker is that I didn't realize that I needed to send them my official transcript until early Feb., so they didn't receive that until 2/10, which I'm guessing could delay things...

No, I did not monitor my GIAC and McCombs status much at all. I did make sure that they had my official transcript and GMAT scores before I submitted, but I don't think you have to do that. In fact, if they gave you an interview before you sent your official transcripts in, I think you are fine. They just can't make a final decision on you until they have that information, which they should now. So I think you should be fine and on track for 12 weeks (next week!), but I wouldn't worry too much if it's even another week.

I probably logged into the McCombs application webpage maybe 3 or 4 times over the last 10 weeks or so, mainly for curiosity. I was well aware that it was going to take close to 12 weeks, so I chose not to worry about it. Easier said than done, and I was getting a little nervous this week.

I received a phone call and then like two hours later I received the email with more information. Hope this helps.

I may have read previous posts incorrectly, but I think Spring Break is March 14-18, not this week.

...so basically, only those who applied to McCombs in December or earlier will have heard prior to the admitted students weekend (March 31st/April 1st). One would think that they would structure it that those who applied by Jan 14th and get admitted could go.

That doesn't seem very logical, but what the hell do I know.

Applied on Jan 10th, interviewed with alumni in DC on Jan 27th, McCombs didn't get my transcript until the very end of January since I did my undergrad in Europe and it took over a month to get it sent. Got admit call on Feb 28th.

I appreciate the details - thanks. I guess I just need to sit tight and try not to think about it, but I'm getting antsy...

Congrats!

They actually took 11 weeks if you consider the 1 week break from Dec 24-31st.

Call the admin and ask if they're releasing more invitations.

Hi, longtime lurker, first time poster. I applied a little more than 10 weeks ago, interviewed about 3 weeks later and haven't heard a peep from McCombs since. I know I should probably hear back within the next couple weeks, given the 10-13 week decision period cited on the website, but I'm getting more concerned that I may not have adequately signaled to McCombs my interest in enrolling if accepted... I interviewed with an local alum (on the west coast) rather than flying into Austin and, didn't do all that well in the interview either. I'm considering emailing admissions and reiterating my interest in the program (basically telling them that I think it's a great fit and that I will enroll if accepted). I can't decide if this is a good idea or if the anxiety of this wait is clouding my better judgment. I'm interested to hear anyone's thoughts.
