I don't know guys, I don't think McCombs is out to punish those with higher GMAT scores just because they're afraid they'll have low yields. In fact, I think the opposite, Olin offered me a full scholarship to tempt me away from a higher ranked school, and its a very effective tool.
Though vyomneeraj's profile looks very impressive, I think he has to compete against much tougher Indian candidates. Also, I have a friend who was admitted to Stanford but rejected from McCombs, but it was by his own admission that he thought he was a shoe-in to McCombs so he didn't put in as much effort. Keep in mind that McCombs acceptance rates still are around the low 20%s, so people can't be taking it lightly. (though I'm not suggesting that thats what vyomneeraj did, just a thought)
