lol...dont sweat it on such a petty decision...there will be hundreds more that you have to make that are more important...just choose one and stick with it...hardly makes a difference...

the main reason i chose dhl was coz they come to yr home to pick up the parcel and all....i din wanna go to the post office and take a half day from work in the process...guess i traded tht off by paying more...thts it...no particular reason at all..!!

Indian applicants, which service is best for sending your transcripts quickly to the GIAC?

If I will be posting my transcript through registered post - India post , should I be mentioning the mail address or courier address?

I am concerned about the time which will be taken by the ems speed post, any idea?

mbagirl7568
By courier:
GIAC
405 W. 25th Street
The University of Texas
Austin, TX 78705

By mail:
GIAC
PO Box 7608
The University of Texas
Austin, TX 78713

Speed post--mail it to the courier address. Speed Post usually takes 8-10 business days (don't hold me to that number, just going by memory).

Does anyone have a list of the recommendation questions for 2011? Many schools make the questions available for review prior to the applicant having to designate recommenders, but I cannot find the questions on the website. Thanks!

Here you go...

1. How long and in what relationship have you known the applicant?

2. Identify specific personal and professional qualities that demonstrate the leadership potential of the applicant and provide detailed examples to support your recommendations.

3. Share your observations of the applicant’s ability to be an effective team member, and his/her communication/interpersonals kills.

4. What weaknesses do you think could impact the applicant’s future success?

5. Please make any additional comments which you think will help in assessing the candidacy of the applicant.

Then there is a rating scale.

Wait is killing me . Have admits from SMU Cox $$ and Kelley $$ but no news of McCombs.

Maybe they are bunching all apps together for releasing the decision.

Has anyone heard anything in the past week or so? Seems like no new interviews or admits posted. Maybe they are going to release a lot of decisions on the same day. Hopefully sooner rather than later...

Nope. There might be some more this afternoon. Last year they released a lot of decisions on the 29th. I think they do them in bi-weekly batches.

Had my interview today with an alum. Blind interview. No trick questions, the basic:

1. Walk my through your resume.
2. Why MBA?
3. Why now?
4. What can you contribute to McCombs?
5. What other schools are you applying to and where is McCombs ranked?
6. Any questions for me?

The alum was very friendly and it was a very pleasant experience.

Just got my interview invite today.
I'm sure I will do it locally, and wanted to know if anyone else [thanks previous poster] who did an interview with an alumni in their local area are willing to share experiences!
I'm assuming most of the interviews with alumni are going to be blind..but wanna be sure~
