Any Indian applicants care to comment, did you sent your official transcripts sealed and stamped from your UG institute? or emailed them?

Texas guys say they need official transcripts mailed to GIAC.

Thanks.

You need to send official transcript to GIAC through mail not e-mail.
Official copy = the original copy you get from your university.

The instructions don't call for sealed transcripts. I had my original UG and Grad transcripts, which I mailed them on 1/15--the status still shows not received and will probably do so for the next 2 weeks.

The ad com has addressed this question in the application F.A.Q.'s. If you cant find the link scroll back on this thread and search for Vyonmeeraj's post, I had asked this very question.

So did you send all the individual original transcripts or the final original transcript, which contains all the individual years marks.

I ask this because I have my original final transcript but just worried that it may be crumpled by the time I get it back.

for the indian candidates. you would have got original transcripts from your university while award of the degree. DO NOT SEND THOSE.

instead, get photocopies of the original degree certificate and the transcripts and get them attested by the registrar of your college. OR get additional copies made from your university by paying some extra fee. you can send these to mccombs. tht way you dont have to worry about their state when you get them back.

also, just send the final transcript containing all the years grades and marks. tht is good enough.

hope this clears all your doubts regarding transcripts.

Hey vyom, milind soman ;) sorry to ask again, I still have a small doubt.

So all the individual original transcripts are mandatory?

If I have to apply for transcript copies at my Osmania UG, it takes 10 days for my request to be processed, and then a few more days to reach the GIAC. It will be almost mid february at this rate, which is not recommended.

Its better I bind all my original transcripts and send them to the GIAC.

Domestic applicant, 650 43Q 36V, 5.5 AWA
3.6 GPA from state university in the southeast
5 yrs w/e between comm'l and investment banking

Been pretty frustrating since I'm hearing about applicants getting interview invites within days of submission! I'm aware my GMAT is on the lower end, but thought I could be a little competitive. Fingers crossed. :/

Why not call and ask them whats going on? They review applications on a weekly basis.

You need to send the final 1 or 2 page document that lists all your grades/marks for all semesters/years. Speak to the registrar at the institute your attended and get 2-3 original transcripts and 3-4 attested ones. You never know where and when you will need them.

I've been surfing the thread for a while, but this is my first post...applied 10/27, interviewed 11/27 but haven't heard back from admissions yet...i called monday, and they said I would find out in the next couple of weeks...just wondering why my app is taking more than 12 weeks to evaluate...is it based on the strength of my app? or are they just a little slow?

Wow, more than 12 weeks! I think it's because it's slow...seems like they have a lot of technological issues and the MAC is made up of mostly students and a couple full-time adcom members.

Hi Guys,
I submitted on the 14th of January. I am still not able to pay through the "What I Owe" site or see the documents status on the GIAC.
Do you think it is wise to send them a mail or should I wait for a few more days?

Has anyone that submitted their application on January 14th or later received an interview invitation? I'm curious to know how fast they are getting the invites out for those who applied during the rush.
