sorry to hear man...now i'm freakin out, i have a very similar profile to yours, applied 12/23, and still havent heard anything back on interview invites...already anticipating i'll get dinged w/ no interview...fml

I am pretty sure they don't.
I had applied for a Masters in Science program to a few universities in 2003 and none of the universities returned the transcripts (and yes I had submitted originals).

OK the nice people at graduate admissions told me that they will return the international transcripts but not the usa ones. This is all in case an admission is not secured.

Do you have to wait until they receive your official transcript for your application to be complete to receive an interview invite?

I submitted my application on January 14th. All of my materials have been marked received. Does your application status change from submitted to complete? Or will it remain "submitted" until I am either rejected or invited for an interview?

Kprizzle, I'm in the same boat and my app also says submitted. I've heard of one person after 1/13 getting an interview and I think he said he completed his application on 1/27...

Not sure if I should still be expecting one? I've read UT admits 50% of those they interview.

Has anyone who applied around 1/13 heard anything about interviews? If so, did you get an email or was it just updated in your status online? I'm starting to wonder if I'm going to get dinged without an interview, which would be surprising since it's the school I feel I had the best chance at (and would love to attend).

I applied on the evening of the 14th...and got an interview invite last week. I scheduled a time near the end of the month. Hopefully that rolling deadline doesn't put that late date as a disadvantage.

Also...thanks to reading this thread...I now realize that there was a different status check website and that I need to send that physical transcript in (totally missed that). Thanks for the help, y'all!

Haha, sorry to call you out. I really appreciate your help! I was trying to gauge to see if I should expect an interview, but at this point, I'm not too sure. Really stiff competition!

Make sure you follow up with Deana Williams at the GAIC -- I think she is the one who handles the transcripts.

Hi there!

I'm newly registered but have utilized this thread throughout the process. I am a round 2 McCombs applicant submitted Dec. 27th. I received an interview invite January 12th and interviewed with a local alum (Los Angeles) on January 19th. Now just waiting to hear back!

I'd like to be added to roll call, or whatever exactly that means!
