Can anyone tell me how long it should take for an admissions decision after an interview? I applied way back in November, didnt get an interview invite until the end of January, and interviewed last weekend in Chicago. Just hoping that someone can shed some light on this for me. Thanks!

Can anyone tell me how long it should take for an admissions decision after an interview? I applied way back in November, didnt get an interview invite until the end of January, and interviewed last weekend in Chicago. Just hoping that someone can shed some light on this for me. Thanks!

I interviewed January 17th and they responded with an admit on Feb 8th. Mine was also off campus so might have taken the interviewer time to write up the notes and send it.

Also for those of you that got admit calls like me, I was curious when they would send more information and an official letter. I emailed admissions and they said it takes 1-2 weeks after your call to get your admit packet.

UTA is a game of patience. From applying to admit it took me over 2 months! (Nov-Feb)

"We have received all credentials required to process your application. Your file has been forwarded to the Graduate Committee for review. "
I guess the next step is an interview invite, and there are a few who submitted their app on or around 1/13 and have been invited to interview.

Call them when in doubt. Call the number on file....Rebecca will probably answer the phone--ask to be transfered to full time MBA admissions. Somebody will assist you there, if not call again and ask for Carolyn Davis(in case you can't get her on phone -- send her an email--she is usually very helpful).

They sent me an email and told me to log in to my application. The notice was at the top where it previously said "application submitted" or something similar.

Guys just to be clear...there's two status pages:

One from the GIAC...once they receive all your documents (transcript, etc.) they process and forward to the adcom...once they process the status changes to something along the lines of forward to the adcom for review

The second status page is from the adcom, which you get on the application site. This status page never seemed to change for me....I've been admitted to UT and it still says 'Application Submitted'. I did get an email yesterday saying it will soon change to give me access to the admitted students site...something I'm still waiting on.

I hope that helps...but the moral of the story is that with UT I wouldn't depend to much on the status pages like for other schools. If you need an update, I don't think its an issue to call them a couple times and find out where they are in the process, as long as you use your discretion.
