I just got an interview invite email :-D

I applied on 1/14, but one of my undergrad schools couldn't get its act together in terms of sending over official transcripts so my GIAC status page didn't show complete for all transcripts until 2/14.

Query: I just set up my interview slot. After that, I tried to set up the "class visit" option, but there was only one option available that day, and it conflicted with the interview I picked out. Are there any other options here? At other schools I visited they had an option to get a tour from a student, a lunch, etc. Do I just have to wander around campus myself?

Thanks! I see they actually have info sessions on friday so I tried to set something up before my monday interview (austin is a great weekend spot for sure), but of course it wasn't showing up on the interactive calendar :roll: I called admissions but got their v-mail telling me to send them an email, which I did. If I don't hear back I guess I'll follow up on Friday.

Good luck to everyone else wherever they may be in the process.

I found this post on last year's forum really helpful in prepping for my interview.

I interviewed on campus with a 2nd year student. It was very conversational and the questions were pretty much along the lines of the ones in the post linked above.

i applied on 1/14...got an interview invite late January...gave the interview with an alum last week...
it really depends on the alum...they dont follow any set pattern...though they do have some specific questions that the adcom requires them to ask...
like career post MBA, team experience, leadership experience.
the alum spent a lot of time trying to understand what i do and how MBA concentration i chose will be the best fit and how i see myself growing after that. overall it was very informal and he was very easy to talk to.
now waiting to hear back on the decision.
anyone has any idea when they will send out decisions after interview.

Nothing too insightful, but there's some info regarding the waitlist here:

Basically, it sounds like you should send in new information if it will significantly boost your profile, otherwise it will probably hurt you.

Now, the question is, will my new side project be considered significant enough to share or not? I guess I'll sit tight for now.

Well, I'm not sure. It kind of shows leadership, which I think I lack somewhat. I just feel like I should be trying to show growth and interest in the program.

Really, though, I think I just bombed the interview more than anything. I'm not sure what I can do about that.
