I am ready to go profess my love for mccombs in person, but i suspect the school already has many suitors with my credentials ----indian male engineer. Still hopeful that they might slip me an invite.

McCombs is higher ranked than Emory, at least according to credible rankings. But then again I'm biased ;)

Emory is ok, has some regional bias just like most programs outside of the top 10...but in the southwest I would think McCombs has the upper hand due to it's larger network..

hey All,

I have submitted my application around 10 days ago. My transcripts are the way.

Can someone please let me know if they start reviewing the candidate based on uploaded transcripts, or they wait for original to arrive?

Approximately, can someone please comment on number of days between submission of application and interview invite?

Thanks.

Regarding time-frame for the entire admissions process, I can't really tell if McCombs has a specific pattern. I submitted my application on the evening of 12/21 and received an interview invite the very next day. I interviewed on 1/13, and still haven't heard anything. However, they didn't actually receive my official paper transcript until 2/20 after I frantically overnighted it (finally realizing they required it BEFORE an offer of admission only because someone mentioned it here). To date though, my McCombs status still says that my application has been submitted, and my GIAC status says they've received everything needed.

Just got the notification that I am on the WL. Does anyone have any data as to the percentage of WL candidates that are eventually admitted? I would really appreciate any insight. Thanks!

According to Business Week, about 20% come off the waitlist.

I received my interview invite on 2/16 at 9:55 am central time.

Are there any re-applicants on here that have interviewed? Did you have to address this in your interview and how did you go about it? Thanks.

I had a quick question for those admitted: did you guys receive emails or phone calls notifying you of the decision?

Thanks

I think most of us received phone calls first notifying us that we were admitted.

I received an email about 15 min after my phone call, but that seems to be pretty fast. Other admits on these boards have had a gap of a couple weeks between the call and the email.

I am a re-applicant. They didn't say anything about it in the interview. I assume the alumni interviewer didn't know. Perhaps I should have mentioned it, but I had already put a note about it in my essays . Might be worth bringing up to show how you have improved the strength of your application since you last applied.
