I got this info from Sandy's thread on BW. He is an admissions consultant and he specializes in apps for HSW. It is his prediction based on the number of his clients getting interview invites. Atleast by reading his thread, I find him as a straight shooter and I believe his numbers are pretty close though. Again if Sandy is wrong, I am wrong too. So take this info with a pinch of salt. I believe in those numbers becos of his past experience.

P.S. Some interesting observations on Stanford R1

1. No interview invites reported on gmatclub or admissions411
2. About 6 invites posted on BW. Most of them, if not all, are for people in PE/MC

Yeah, I know I really shouldn't take it personally, but the fact that I'm not going to get even an interview invite to any school I applied to is really discouraging, especially after all the hard work. But maybe it took all this to show me that an MBA isn't what I should be doing right now.

jj, lets wait for some more time before we come to that final conclusion. what say?

Guys, don't lose heart just yet. Trying to handicap when/if interview invitations will be sent out will merely add angst to an already stressful process. Hang tough, and try to distract yourselves by doing other things. I know it's difficult...

I don't think anyone who applied to H/W/S and didnt get an invite should be too worried. Those are by far the hardest schools to get invites from. They along with MIT and a few others tend to accept a much greater percent of interviews than say Chicago who interviews about 50% of the applicants.

I dont know if I read this hear or on b-week but apparently Rose mentioned that this year the applicant pool is much stronger and hence they are increasing the % interviewed to 60% or so.

They said 50% at the Live Events and repeated that during the others from what everyone says. Remember it also has to do with their resources for performing the interviews, people already are having a hard time finding off campus interviews. One would think that with applications up so much and the same potential amount of interview slots the % could potentially be lower than in past years.

Where is Rhyme when you need a little inside info.
