Hi bb ,
I did fill in the form and received confirmation on gmatclub messages about the name being sent, but cannot find any fee waiver mail from Cornell.

Deadlines are approaching so bb mate can you please check the same for the registered email id?

Update: Cornell can verify that a fee waiver has been applied for you under this email, and they can see that you currently have an in-progress application. Once you fill out the application, the final step will indicate they have an application fee waiver applied.

Hello! I emailed the Cornell team about your request. They are out of the office this week, but I would suggest that you email mba@johnson.cornell.edu for a faster response. You can reference the GMAT Club MBA Spotlight event and provide the email address that you used to sign up for the event.

Thank you!

bb please reply...Haven't received the Fuqua waiver confirmation on mail. I attended the session in June
bb Mate the deadline is in a few days, will appreciate your help

Posted from my mobile device

Update: I heard you already contacted the team and you are all set, so wishing you all the best!

Hello! I emailed the Fuqua team and verified that we provided your email address to them back in June. I will let you know when I hear back, but as BB mentioned, the instructions are on page 1 and you should be able to get the app fee waiver if you use the same email address you provided to us for Spotlight. Note, that email address is different from the one you use on GMAT Club, so make sure you use the right one.

Thank you and best of luck to you!

No reconfirmation is needed for any waiver.

I believe I'm to receive one but I'm not seeing it in my email or through my portal. Should I go ahead and reach out to the school directly?

In that case you should. If you’re using the same email address in your application, the waiver should have been applied and if it hasn’t, then there is some kind of a failure on the school side. (It is annoying why some people got it and some did not unless of course the emails are different). so I would follow up to make sure that they applied the waiver from the MBA Spotlight event.

No problem. I wish there was a simpler and better method. You should not have to project manage an application fee waiver and it should be a pretty simple thing to figure out. I’m frustrated with process being outside of my control and not being able to help.

Hello! I found your email address on the registration for the event, but not on the list of attendees and app fee waivers are for those who attended. Did you attend their session? If so, can you PM me your email address? The name and email associated with your GMAT Club account and event registration is not found on the attendee list, so unfortunately at this time, you are not eligible for a waiver under MBA Spotlight, but many schools host events, so you might have an opportunity to get one elsewhere.

Thank you!

Thanks kirstik for checking this for me. I am not sure whether I attended or not. That could also be the reason why I didnt receive any mail from Johnson. But thanks again

Hi there, earlier i received the mail that I have received the app fee waiver for attending the johnson event. However when i reached the adcom for the same, i am getting the reply that attending the event do not qualify for app fee waiver. I received the below reply from them....."The only events that are eligible for application fee waivers are the ‘Ask Admissions’ and the ‘Residential Two-Year MBA Information’ sessions. Unfortunately, the GMAT spotlight event does not fall into that category."....is anyone facing similar issue

Hi. Yes, I heard from another person who had the same issue TODAY and I asked them to post their experience here but it looks like they haven’t 😖

Long story short, they ended up calling and they got the application fee waiver applied.

PS. The application fee waiver was offered kind of an expectedly during the zoom. We did not even know about it before hand so perhaps that missions person made an exception during this MBA spotlight event from their usual practice… but it sure is confusing since many people receive the email saying they were eligible and received the waiver.

Anyway, it seems like Calling Adcom solved this problem for the other person.

PS. I’m sorry about this strange sequence of events.

I have reached out to admissions to make sure that MBA Spotlight is included in their list, because this message is incorrect. I have email proof that they are providing app fee waivers for those who attended MBA Spotlight in November 2023. You can contact admissions for fastest service, but I hope to clear this up so other users aren't experiencing the same issue. Thank you for letting us know!

Wishing you all the best with your applications!
