Hi Hpanesar,
I'm sorry to hear that Test Day didn't go as well as planned. When these types of score drops occur, the two likely "causes" involve either something that was unrealistic during practice or something that was surprising (or not accounted for) on Test Day. It's also worth noting that many Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so if you have studied for just 1.5 months, then that might help to explain why you have not hit your Score Goal yet. Before we discuss any of those potential issues, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
1) How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) On your Official GMAT, did you have to 'rush' through a bunch of questions at the end of each section (and if you did, then how many questions did you rush through? Did you run out of time and leave any questions unanswered?)?
3) When is the latest that you can submit your GMAT Score to the University?
4) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?
GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
