At a certain coffee shop, a mocha sells for $3.00 and a cappuccino sells for $2.25. In total, the shop sold $180 worth of mochas and cappuccinos over the course of a day. How many mochas did the shop sell?
(1) The shop sold 10 more cappuccinos than it did mochas.
(2) The combined price of all of the cappuccinos sold was equal to the combined price of all of the mochas sold.

This is a simple question on Linear equations. Let the number of mochas be ‘m’ and the number of cappuccinos be ‘c’. From the question data, we can form an equation like the one below:
3m + 2.25c = 180.
The question asks us to determine the value of m.
From statement I alone, c = m+10. Substituting this value of c in the main equation, we have,
3m + 2.25 (m+10) = 180 which yields us 5.25 m + 22.5 = 180. Upon simplifying, we get,
5.25m = 157.5. Solving this equation gives us m = 30. Statement I alone is sufficient.
Answer options B, C and E can be eliminated. Possible answer options are A or D.
From statement II alone, the combined price of all cappuccinos i.e. 2.25c was equal to the combined price of all the mochas i.e. 3m. This means 2.25c = 3m. Substituting this in the main equation, we have 3m + 3m = 180 which gives us m=30 on solving.
Statement II alone is sufficient. Answer option A can be eliminated.
