I believe that East-West order is just A,B,C,D,E (if I'm reading the question correct) so we can't conclude that A is the right answer. There seems to be a negative relationship between rainfall amount and average temperature, so I think it is C.


Yes you are right about the direction bit. I inferred it from the graph, not the details in the ques.
