For 200 consecutive positive integers
Mean = Median = 499.5
If we add next 1000 positive integers, median will shift 1000/2 = 500 units to the right.
New mean = 499.5+500 = 999.5
Mean = Median = 499.5

Let consecutive no. Be X,X+1,X+3........,X+199
Mean = Total / No. Of Integers
499.5 = (200x+19900)/200
99900=200x+19900
80,000=200x
400=X
The consecutive no. Start from 400 to 599
Add: other 1000 no. Succeeding 599 (i.e. 600,601,602,603,,.......,1599)
Median of set consisting no. From 400-1599 =1200 numbers => 600 and 601 number
=> 999+1000/2
=> 999.5
=> Answer is E
