| FROM Babson Admissions Blog: Live from Babson’s San Francisco campus! |
Greetings from Babson’s San Francisco campus, where today we are hosting a large group of current students, alumni and of course prospective students for a Babson Connect event. Here is what happens at a Babson Connect event. The current students go on company treks to visit organizations aligned with their career interests. Yesterday, the Undergraduate and Graduate Centers for Career Development took students on visits to Bay area companies. Not to name drop but eBay and Dropbox were on the roster. This morning, my colleague Laura Hunter and I joined the Graduate Center for Career Development and a group of current students for a company trek to EnerNOC. Our hosts provided a fascinating presentation about the concepts of highly intelligent energy management. The students loved the conversations and the networking opportunity. As I am getting ready to hit “Publish” and bring this blog post to you, more students and alumni have joined us for a networking session on campus featuring diverse companies and alumni from the Bay Area – see picture below. Our program tonight also includes a talk about 5 Key Ideas to Effectively Manage Your Career, featuring Dick Bolles, author of the New York Times international bestseller, What Color is Your Parachute? So if you are interested in visiting our San Francisco campus to learn more about our graduate programs and how you can become part of the Babson network, you should definitely email Laura at lhunter1@babson.edu. We hope to see you at 135 Main Street in San Francisco! Make entrepreneurship yours. ![]()

| FROM Babson Admissions Blog: Six Reasons to Consider Babson’s Evening MBA Program |
1) The Evening MBA program allows you to take advantage of Babson’s globally recognized curriculum while still remaining in the work force. 2) It gives you an opportunity to take the new concepts and frameworks you learn in the classroom and apply them in your current job right away. 3) The flexibility of the curriculum allows you to speed up and slow down semester to semester to meet fluctuating work and family demands. 4) You get access to the same academic and career resources the full-time MBA students do. 5) In addition to our Wellesley Main Campus, you can take some of your core and elective classes at Babson Boston. 6) Most importantly – you can test drive the program this summer by registering for the Babson Evening MBA: Test It Out course. (Insider Tip: this would also give you an opportunity to learn from Prof. Jay Rao who is not only a recognized expert in the field of innovation but brings a ton of fun to the classroom). We all have our own goals. Live yours. |

| FROM Babson Admissions Blog: Part-time Babson MBA Programs |
We have been receiving a lot of questions about our part-time programs. Prospective students want to know if there is still time to apply. The answer is yes. 1) We are still accepting applications for the Babson MBA Evening program on a rolling basis but time is running short as the program starts in just a few weeks. 2) The next application deadline for the Babson MBA Blended Learning, which starts in late October with cohorts in our Boston and San Francisco campuses, is August 1. You can compare details about the two programs here and you can contact us with questions at gradadmissions@babson.edu We all have our own goals. Live yours. |
| FROM Babson Admissions Blog: The Babson 2014-2015 Application for Graduate Admission is live! |
Many of our candidates have been calling and emailing to ask when the 2014-2015 application for admission to our graduate programs will go live. We are glad to know how eager you are to start the process and happy to inform you the new application is now live on the Babson Bridge. Our goal has always been to ensure the application process allows us to learn about your accomplishments and aspirations. With this in mind, we have revised our essay questions to allow you – our candidates – more flexibility to choose how you would like to introduce yourself. There are two required essays for our MBA and MSM programs and one for our MSA program. The essays will ask you to Define Your Future and Define You. The first essay, Define Your Future, will ask you to discuss your career goals and how you believe Babson will help you achieve these goals. Define You will give you six short answer questions and you will choose three to answer. These questions range from addressing how you have implemented an innovative idea to sharing how feedback you’ve received has been incorporated into your life. Take the essays as an opportunity to be insightful, truthful, and creative in sharing your background, performance, and potential to be an entrepreneurial leader. The full essay questions can be found on the Babson Bridge. Once you’ve filled out the first two pages of the application, go to your Babson Bridge home page and on the Application Checklist, click on the essays section. We look forward to getting to know you! We all have our own goals. Live yours. |
