Pretty easy one for me...
Basic theme of the sentence is -
(1960) Star Trek ( Created by Gene Roddenberry ) series aired --------------- ( Now ) scientists are discovering the possibilities of particle transference.
Past -------------> Present
a) Because when Gene Roddenberry created the fictional transporter - Incorrect
b) Although the fictional transporter who by Gene Roddenberry was created - " Who " is used only for people , hence Incorrect.
c) Even though Gene Roddenberry created the fictional transporter - Correct
Even Though means - despite the fact that
d) When the fictional transporter was created by Gene Roddenberry - Incorrect
e) It’s clear that Gene Roddenberry created th fictional transporter - Changes the meaning of the sentence, hence Incorrect.
Hence IMHO straight (C) without any doubt...
scientists today are discovering = Gives us the clue that present moment is discussed.
