Hey guys,
I was wondering with the new GRE test what would be the best books to start preparing. I am just starting on this journey and wanted to start on the right foot. My vocabulary is alright but can be approved and as far as math goes it has always been my strong suit though I may be rusty(been 2 years since I did any real math).
From what I gather from the forum the Official book the ETS make is good and the Manhattan GRE books as well. Is the Barrons word list no longer needed? Any other suggestions?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum!
Barron's word list is no longer relevant because gone are the days of synonyms and antonyms. Now it's all about context, which you don't get in Barron's word list. Word Power Made Easy, and Princeton Review's Word Smart series are great for vocabulary. Manhattan's new GRE flash cards are good as well - if you are into flashcards, they're great!
For Quants, my new personal favourite is Gruber's Complete GRE Guide 2012.
The Official Guide for the GRE revised general test & Manhattan GRE's Text Completion & Sentence Equivalence are MUST HAVE's.
