Will an MBA help you start a bank?

Simple question,

I am considering an MBA because I want to start my own bank. I used the US news rankings to compare schools that rank high in finance and entrepreneurship because I feel starting a bank falls into both categories equally. Which schools are the best to attend given that long term goal in mind? Also do you think getting an MBA would help in this endeavor or is it a waste resources/time?

Some background, I'm an accountant currently getting my MSA so I can get my CPA. I figure I would need some banking experience so my short term goal would be to get into banking after the MBA. I'm not sure which role, but I think something in operations would be more helpful than IB. I have alot of time to sort this out, I won't be applying to b-school until 2021 at the earliest.

MBA allows you to understand industries and companies from a managerial point of view, like a helicopter view from above. Doctors, accountants, engineers, and others evenly benefits from it to be project managers or entrepreneurs like you are aiming. MBA makes you a great joker who can play all the games (but a king of NON), however your previous experience and bachelor or professional degrees are more important in your context. After your MSA and CPA, The correct step would be to work in the banking industry and learn how real life goes, with a mind set of some body who, not only does his tasks, but also is eager to learn very small aspect and detail in the industry. After this (around 3-5 years average), MBA would be a good option to know how to manage various kind of resources (HR, Capital, infrastructure and others) in an efficient way.

I totally agree with the above view. I advise you to target Harvard, Wharton, Booth and CBS.
