Hi MEGHATODI,

The OG books are great sources for practice questions, but they're not designed to teach you Tactics, patterns or the little 'secrets' behind the GMAT - for those, you'll need Course-oriented materials. To that end, you should work on the OG a little later on in your studies.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied in total and how recently did you restart your studies? Currently, how many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far besides the course that you mentioned?
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

1) How long have you studied in total and how recently did you restart your studies? Currently, how many hours do you typically study each week?
I will start from Monday as I am looking for resources. I am planning to devote atleast 5 hours daily
2) What study materials have you used so far besides the course that you mentioned?
I have ordered OG which I am supposed to recieve on Monday
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
I had taken GMAT Mock long back, say around 6 months and score was 400-460 and one score was 280 too.
Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
I want to score no less than 650
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
As of now not decided. Since I am in US I am open to school choices.

Hi MEGHATODI,

If it's been about 6 months since you last took a practice CAT/mock test, then it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test so that we can get a better sense of your current skills, strengths and weaknesses; you can take 2 for free at www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). If you want to do a little studying/review first, so that you can refamiliarize yourself with the basic content and question types, then that's okay - but you shouldn't wait too long to take that CAT. FULL CAT takes about 3.5 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can discuss the results and come up with a study plan.

It might be good to consider going through the gmatclub's math and verbal guide (they are free!):

Hi,

I had taken Magoosh online course for GMAT Prep but I still don't feel confident in solving questions. I had dropped studying for GMAT in between.
However, I wish to resume GMAT Prep from the beginning. I want some suggestions on the best GMAT Coaching. One-to-one would be awesome for me being an average student. My Maths and English both are weak.
Also, want to know that does the official Guide of GMAT helps much?
Would love to hear from you all.
Thank you in advance.

Target test prep for Quant and E-Gmat for verbal.
Both have trials take a look.
