Why is it not B? Whats the OA

The sentence from the text states that these authors often use language in innovative and idiosyncratic ways, THEREFORE they are less respectful of the strictures of proper usage

Answer choice (B) reverses causation.

The text indicates that blue causes red, whereas answer choice (B) claims that red causes blue.

The premise didn't mention to the (frequency of) criticism. Is it often or sth else? No information. Hope that helps.
