The TTP team had the opportunity to interview dcummins to get more insights into how he achieved his score increase. You can see the interview here.

I recently learned more about how to achieve a big GMAT score increase in this interview with Anna Moylan, who achieved a 300-point increase to get into her dream school, Kellogg.

Many people wonder, "How much can I increase my GMAT score?" or "What's the biggest possible GMAT score increase?"

My answer to people who ask me is that they can increase their GMAT scores as much as they want. In other words, their GMAT scores will continue to increase as long as they keep preparing and finding levers to pull to improve their skills and increase their scores.

At the same time, in addition to understanding the logic of the idea that continued preparation will lead to continued development and score increases, it's great to see what others have done to increase their GMAT scores both because the fact that someone else has achieved a huge score increase is a strong reminder that you can too and because people who have achieved score increases have great insights to offer regarding how to do so.

Accordingly, I've created this post that includes some of the biggest GMAT score increases mentioned on GMAT Club, including what's probably the biggest GMAT score increase ever, 530 points, so that people can be inspired and learn how to achieve their own huge GMAT score increases.

If you know of a huge GMAT score increase (280 points or more) to add, you can DM me a link to a post associated with the increase, and I'll add it to the list.

Biggest GMAT Score Increases

300360660Anna
280430710dcummins
280420700positive soul
280360640Sivatorne

It's also worth noting that daldilaimi is may be "misleading" considering the fact that one can only get 200 points if one gets all the questions wrong which is as likely statistically as being hit by a bolt of lightning. I'd encourage people to take a mock test and randomly choose answers. They'll get at least 300 points.

Good for her to achieve such a great score. However, lying about her baseline is not doing anyone any good except for herself.

If the latest GMAT Focus concordance table is correct, we now have more information about the scores mentioned here. 250 is 1.3-1.6%, and 780 is 99.9-100%.

I don't know how the test taker managed this increase, but I'd consider any attempt by a test prep company to present this increase as representative to be misselling.

Indeed. I do not understand why they continue to use her as an example when many people like you and I have called them out on it. It is literally such a feat to get 250 that one must know the correct answer and then consciously choose the incorrect answer.
