I think last year they had people get in off the WL during the summer. But theoretically you could be on the waiting list until orientation day (August 19).

If you show up for orientation on August 19 you're going to be there alone. Orientation begins September 5.
Wow, I definitely had a bit of CBS on my mind there! Thanks for that -- I don't think I would have gone so far as to book a ticket for August 18 to Chicago, but I do appreciate the reminder.

I'm going on vacation this summer, from May to August (obviously predicated on my original intention of going to CBS). What am I going to do for three whole weeks...?

You are going to RANDOM WALK!! Now hurry up and sign up for one. Some of the trips are full but I am sure that you can get on the waitlists (cruel irony?) for some trips and that spots will open up a bit later.

Yeah. Looks like it. I think I can wait for a few more weeks before going all in (pay the fall tuition) with Stern.

So did anyone get a rejection letter yet or an update to their WL status? I am on the waitlist and obviously didn't get a call, but neither have i gotten a rejection letter or any sort of update, so a bit confused as to what's going on.
maybe i'm freaking out too early, it's not even 9am in Chicago, so they have plenty of time to reject me throughout the day.

Got my waitlist.
I'm now curious whether anyone got rejected and my waitlist can be viewed as somewhat of a win or if they just dumped all the waitlisters into a waitlist pool again. Anyone has any intel on this subject?

I was waitlisted as well....

@loosemoose: I believe that they have many of their spots filled so I don't think that there is a meaning for them to keep the waitlisft full of people.

Any admits get an email this morning? I was told on the phone there would be an email with instructions to join the facebook group, admitted students site, etc but have not received an email yet.

Why would they..? They the opportunity cost of re-Waitlisting vs. denying for them is ZERO. And who cares about candidates anxiously waitng to make (in most cases) career-changing decisions...

I think the dings you saw were R3 applicants. Not sure any waitlisters were dinged

I was waitlisted from R2 and got re-waitlisted again. Was wondering if sending a (strong) letter from Booth MBA alum would help at this point. Any opinions?

Hi everyone,

After much consternation and thought I decided to turn down my wait list acceptance and to matriculate elsewhere. Booth is a great school and would have been an amazing opportunity, but I ultimately felt a stronger connection to Darden.

I'm hoping one of the many worthy candidates in this thread takes my spot. Thanks to everyone that was pulling for me.

for those of you that have submitted a video, once the video has been processed by the website, did you notice a decrease of the quality of the video when you streamed it off the web? I submitted a full HD video, but it clear is has been compressed to a lower resolution and want to make sure it's the same for everyone and there hasn't been any issue with my video. on my 27' monitor, i can really see the difference...
