Waitlisted. Any suggestions on wait list strategies? Does BU-SOM welcome supplementary material from wait-listed applicants to showcase their competency for the program.

I was wait-listed with interview. But since they did put you on the WL, with or without interview they see potential in your application.
But no one can really guess what's going on the ad-com's mind.

About supplementary materials i'm not sure how to proceed. These are mostly updates you can send to boost your profile like promotion at work, higher GMAT score etc.
Some schools welcome such initiatives by wait-listed candidates where-as others have a strict policy against it(most of the top ones like wharton etc).
I'm not sure where BU stands on this. I couldn't find any waitlist instructions on their website.

Another Indian candidate here waitlisted without an interview. Woke up at 4 am on Feb 21st to check my mail. Could not get any sleep after that. :cry:

I have since written to the adcoms asking about supplementary material. No response yet. Will post whatever response I get.

With regard to strengthening my profile, I just got communication from my boss that I might be in line for a promotion. Anybody know what is the best way to communicate a promotion to the Adcoms ?

Overall I think as long as it is not a rejection we are still in with a chance! So stay positive! 8-)

Hey.. got waitlisted at BU ( without interview! ).. round 2 applicant .

Do schools like BU have long waitlists?
Any tips on how to convert this to an admission?
