Meaning:
Bram Stoker wrote Dracula
but before he wrote it, he did the following:
- he researched vampires,
- published several other books and several early drafits
Errors:
Let's look this question from //sim standpoint.
Two // entities are not connected probperly, there is no //ism marker, just a simple comma:
1-entity - extensively researching vampires
2-entity - publishing several other books and also several early drafts
To connect two // entities we need //sim marker (and, or, but, either...or)
publishing several other books and also several early drafts - here we have 'and' also //ims marker,
but "also several early drafts" is not // to "several other books"
when we use connector 'and' - usually 'also' is redundant, 'and' already gives this additive meaning.
One might think of this sentence from modifier standpoint.
comma + publishing - seems, modifies whole preceding clause, gives the result of it, and makes sense with the subject.
so far meaning is clear, but we still have 'also' //ism error here.
POE
(A) after extensively researching vam- pires, publishing several other books and also several early drafts.
(B) after extensively researching vam- pires, and publishing several other books, and also writing several early drafts.
(this answer choice makes three entity // list but fails to connect it properly)

(here two IC improperly connected, moreover 'also' is still redundant)

(distorts intended meaning, missing vital information)

This answer indeed is correct. All tree entities // to each other, and - //ism marker, we have ',' comma before it - indicating that the list conatins 3 entities, conveyed meaning is clear and unambiguous.
