I received a GA + Fellowship. I am sure few others have received some form of scholarship.

I too received a GA+ Fellowship :-)

Was wondering that if we can show stipend as a source of income in FINANCIAL STATEMENT DOCUMENT. Also, I know that GA and Fellowship are for 1st year, but I have heard that based on the performance in most of the cases they are renewed. Guys, if you have any information please throw some light. I am sure some of you must be thinking on the same lines!!

Hi varun8788,

I confirmed this point with the AdCom. They said we can use stipend as a source.
Also we can consider the fellowship and GA for both years while sending Statement of Financial proof.

Hi all,Does GA include full tuition waiver? And what does fellowship include?

No, GA provides you in-state tuition and a partial waiver for 9 credits.
Fellowship is usually a cash award on top of the GA.

Both are applicable for 2 years provided you maintain good GPA.

Hey All,

If you will be attending Broad this upcoming fall, I suggest starting to look for housing options. Michigan State off-campus living arrangements fill up pretty fast due to the high number of students (50k+). A lot of places I have been looking at have told me that they are close to capacity in regards to single/studio bedrooms..
