Hi Everyone,

I am an MBA applicant from India and I am researching about the possible career options for me after MBA.One thing that has caught my attention is business development since it aligns well with my work experience so far.

Can anyone shed light on which companies especially the ones in Manufacturing offer business development roles.

One option that I found was DuPont's Strategic Business Development program for MBA graduates. Can someone tell me if DuPont hires international students for this role?

The scope for Sales/BD roles is immense, and this is one profile which isn't limited to graduates from only Tier A institutes like you would see in some Core Finance roles.

So the way you would see in India is that large FMCG companies and MNCs would recruit people as a Management Trainee for a year, have them travel and cover various territories in all four regions of the country and then come back to one, ideally helping them gain a lot of perspective as well as prepare them for perhaps leading a division in the future.
Also, going by the Startup trends in the country and new technologies or processes coming into the picture, companies do require a strong sales team to not only educate prospective customers but also help influence the behaviour in the long run!
