Spidey,

In R1 (including anshugupta, who I know applied but there is not much follow-up about or from him and excluding skaballet, who is a consortium applicant and is in a different basket) there were 18 applicants. 13 got invited to interviews. 6 were invited during the first wave, 6 during the second wave and one unknown. As an interesting fact, to best of my knowledge, ALL of the male Indian applicants were interviewed in the second wave.

I complied this information (reading each page) after I finished my R2 application. Boring job, lack of information and paranoia can work wonders.... :-)

Good luck!

Thanks for the news manylander. Then the question arises... is Ross done with second wave of interviews!

Good luck to you too.

Coincidentally, all the non-admits were Indians too! I was the lone soul waitlisted w/o interview.

Had my Ross interview with a second year student over the telephone today. Overall, I would rate it as OK. And oh yes, it was pretty conversational. I got the standard questions - Resume walkthrough, why MBA, why Ross, challenge in a team environment, a failure and what I learned from it, biggest success and what do I bring to the Ross community. After that I got to ask him my questions and he gave me some really detailed answers. In hindsight, I feel that I rambled a bit on some of the answers but on the whole, I would say the interview was all right, nothing out of the ordinary. And oh yeah, right at the outset my interviewer did mention that the interview is blind. Now, the worst part: waiting. Sooooo...... not fun :?

True, but with one exception : Imjoesargent. He is an African-American male applicant.

BTW, I did not know that robinantony was Indian. Thanks for the information.

All the best! The Ross interview is pretty laid back. So remember to relax!

The R-1 decision date, if I'm not mistaken, was Jan 14th. But people here reported getting the admit calls right from the 11th.

I believe Nervous and skaballet heard their decision on the 10th. But that was only about 2 business days before the deadline (there was a weekend between). March 15th is a Saturday, so you should probably hear from about 12th maybe?

Good luck?

Yeah I know the 14th was a Monday, but if I am not mistaken people got called on the 12th, Saturday, also. So for R1 they were calling on the 10th, 11th, 12th January which is 3 days. So going by the same logic for this round we should expect calls on the 12th, 13th, 14th February, but given the fact that much more applicants will be accepted in R2 (more by volume) I think the calls should starte earlier for this round because the AdCom will need more time to notify everyone

.... anyways ... just my 2 cents

Well- both of us are saying the same thing right? :) (Am assuming you meant March and not Feb in your analysis)

Also, based on last years numbers, they accepted almost the same number (290 vs 310ish) in both R1 and R2 (if their yield was truly 70%).
